Overview

First Baptist Church is seeking a qualified candidate to direct the planning, coordination and evaluation of the children and preschoolers programs.

The Christian growth and discipleship of children and preschoolers is the primary responsibility of the Director.

This position is variable hours per week. The Director will work with the Children & Preschool Committee, the Sunday School Director, and the lead pastor to craft and execute the direction and vision of ministry to/for children and preschoolers.

The Director will work with the nominating committee with the appointing of a Vacation Bible School Director and will serve as a member of the Church Council.

The Director should have a growing relationship with Jesus and be a member in good standing, giving regularly to the mission of FBC Moreland. The Director’s immediate family should attend FBC Moreland. They must agree to and support the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000, and be willing to submit and pass a background screening.

Details

The children and preschool director is responsible for the oversight of 3 year olds through 5th grade children. They will lead all children in learning about Jesus. They will assist parents in the discipleship of their children. They will manage the children and preschool budget along with the VBS budget. The Director will make sure all adults working in the ministry have read and agree to the child protection policy as well as pass background screenings. They will make sure Children’s Church and Wednesday night teachers are scheduled. They will plan and lead children & preschoolers ministry outreaches. The children and preschool director will be responsible for the Sunday night children’s program.
